Some Amazing Internet Tips You Need To Know

Posted by David Garza on

What’s better than navigating the internet? Navigating the internet with tips that offer you a great experience. These internet tips have proven helpful for us at Nomad Internet, and we know they will help you too!

  • Install Helpful Extensions
  • Browser extensions are amazing add-ons for browsers. They add some functionality or capacity to a web browser. You might have wished you could access a particular feature with your browser at some point. There is a likely chance that an extension has been created with that feature in mind.

These features range from ad blockers, text translators to look-alike bookmark services and image/video downloaders.

Visit your browser Web Store and select Apps or Extensions from the menu. Then, search for what you would like to add. When you find an extension you need, add it to your browser, and you’re ready to use it.

  • Block Apps on Your Device
  • Do you want to beat distractions while working on your mobile device or PC? You do need an app blocker, so you can focus on work.

There are free blocker extensions that block or limit specific websites or apps from popping up notifications or opening during a timeframe. Mobile devices such as the Android and IOS devices also have pre-installed tools and in-built settings for this purpose.

These apps include Freedom (available on Chrome, Firefox, iOS, macOS, Opera, Windows), old Turkey Blocker (macOS, Windows), and LeechBock (Chrome and Firefox ).

  • Bookmark Pages You Love
  • Remember a time you needed to visit a site you had been on, but you couldn’t remember the URL? I’ve been in these shoes too.

With the bookmarking feature, you can save URLs of pages you’d love to revisit at a later date. Different browsers have different ways you can bookmark pages, but they’re accessible near the top of the browser.

Alternatively, pressing the CTRL and D keys on your PC will bring up the bookmark tab no matter the browser you’re on. The Pocket app has similar features as well.

  • Open a Closed Tab
  • Accidentally closing a tab while working is never a great feeling. Had the experience before? You do not have to anymore.

Press the CTRL, SHIFT, T keys on your device to open your previously closed tab. And voila, you’ve retrieved your previous tab

  • Use a Password Manager
  • While registering for online accounts on the web, it is advisable to use passwords that are hard to crack. These passwords should be unique for your online accounts.

Trying to remember these passwords isn’t an easy task. But, you can make use of a Password Manager. The manager does all the remembering of passwords and login credentials for you.

If you don’t want to set up a password manager app, your browser would most probably remember your passwords for you. Click on your browser settings and visit Passwords to select the Save Passwords option.
